BTF Media was founded in 2010 by the Mexican Entrepreneurs and Producers Francisco E. Cordero and Ricardo Coeto, and rapidly evolved into a robust multimedia production company of audiovisual content with an unconventional and original vision with presence in US, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Spain.
Its trajectory has made BTF a valuable player in the fiction and entertainment market, developing solid business relationships with clients such as: Buena Vista International / The Walt Disney Company, Warner Media Company, Amazon Prime, and Sony Pictures Television; among others.
BTF most renown projects include the hit television series “Hasta que te conocí” (Nominated to an International Emmy Award in 2017), “El César” and “El Secreto de Selena”; products that have reached the highest audience levels in the Hispanic markets of the United States and Latin America (Pan Regional) and are part of the co-production agreement the company has with Disney Media Distribution Latam (DMD) for the creation of fiction content and other genres.
Due to BTF’s track record in creating biopics, the company acquired the rights to produce a television series about the life of soccer icon Diego Armando Maradona, which is available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in more than 200 countries. “Maradona: Sueño Bendito” was filmed in Argentina, Spain, Italy, Uruguay and Mexico and was released in October 28th, 2021.
In other genres, in 2019 BTF Media finished filming in Mexico City the remake of the original series for Warner Media, “La Muchacha que Limpia,” an eight-episode police drama that was released on June 20th, 2021, through HBO Max.
In the entertainment field, in 2020 BTF produced “Conecta y Canta”, a non-scripted music show, hosted by Sebastian Yatra, which was released exclusively on Disney+. This year, BTF raised the bar to create and produce “El Heredero” the first freestyle reality show exclusively for Disney / Star+, which features the top five freestylers in the world.
In addition, also for Disney+, in 2021 BTF produced “El Repatriado”, and “Papas por Encargo”, exclusive original series, which will be release in 2022. Alongside, the company produced an iconic drama series called “No fue mi Culpa” which premiered recently on Star+. Also for Star+, the company finished filming “Centauro del Norte” a historic action series based on the life of the legendary Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa.
Regarding feature films, during 2020 and 2021 BTF produced several movies, as part of its volume deal with Buena Vista International. Among these is the comedy remake “Dos Más Dos”, which will premiere in 2022. The new movie “The Wing Walker”, which has Omar Chaparro as the leading actor. As well as, “Soy tu fan”, the movie that comes after the television hit series of the same name.
For the US Hispanic market comes “Finding Love in San Antonio”, a co-production between ACI and BTF Media that premiered last October with an all-Latino cast. “Finding Love” is one of the first development of a slate production for 2022 for several TV movies in the U.S.
